History
Dave Johnson - founder of the Acoustic Edge Institute. Having the first class on April 1st 2001 in Edmond, Oklahoma. Then expanded into Houston, Texas on September 16th 2002. After which on April 2nd 2004 the Houston campus was sold to Damon Hill and Roger Hill, resident owner and operators.
The Acoustic Edge Institute is the only Mobile Electronics, Fabrication and Custom Interior School in the Central United States. We currently have three campus in Houston, TX, Oklahoma City, OK and our third in Chicago, IL. The Acoustic Edge is celebrating our 8 year anniversary this year. We work hard to lead the industry with innovative fabrication information. Our classes are almost all hands on, we feel students learn more, retain more knowledge and enjoy it a lot more doing it that way! Unlike some of the other schools when we say “hands on” we mean you will be in the shop working on cars and building things. Due to the hands on we are limited to how many students we allow into each class which actually benefits the students not us. We are the type of people who are never content unless we are growing, adding courses, building better cars or succeeding in some way. We hope that our "never good enough" attitude will be contagious while you are attending our school.
