I did finish my car with-in one month of leaving so you now have to give me that $300 discount on one of the masters courses that you promised. Ha-Ha, and I want to thank you guys for all your help and training. I cant tell how much I enjoyed being there and I will be back for all your masters courses and I hope my car gets picked for the show car course. I might be moving to Las Vegas. Do you know any good shops there that you can refer me to? What do I have to do to be on Team Edge? Here are the pictures of my car. The painter did a really good good.

Thanks,Luc (MN)

Dear, Roger and the guys at Acoustic Edge.

1st email

It's been a few months since school has been completed and man I cant tell you how much the techniques I learned while at school has made installing so much easier. Not to mention how much faster I can complete jobs get them out of the bay and not come back for service. I have been perfecting my techniques on custom work and I didnt believe it when I was there when you guys were always harping on custom work is easy all you have to do is practice your techniques.

I have done about two dozen custom fiberglass jobs in the last 3 months and wow it gets WAY EASIER each time. As you all know alarms werent my strong subject while I was there but I have been doing my homework and the more of them I do the more I start to see the big picture (THEY REALLY DO MAKE ME MORE MONEY). Once again just keep doing them and even though all the cars are different the circuits are basically the same. I had so much trouble with that stupid 5 wire reverse polarity but now I try and look at the current flows and it does help. The ported box that I built when I was there has helped my reputation out so much. Everybody that sits in my car swears up and down that I have got to have 2 15s in the back but it never fails they all crap their pants when they find out its only to 10s. Building boxes has gotten tremendously easier and just using procedures that I learned has gotten my pay-check to almost double in the last 3 months. So in the end I am always referring installers to come and take all the courses. Some believe and some dont, but; I do know my pay-check is enough believe for me. Its true what you said some installers just have set ways and they wont change for anything!

THANKS AGAIN:Bob (TX)

Whats up? Just want to say hi and see if you have a masters course coming up anytime soon. I finished that ford truck I was telling you about and here are some pictures of the console with 4 MTX 12 woofers. Im was promoted to head custom installer last month and they offered me the assistant Install managers job but I turned it down because there was to many hassles with that job. Besides I like to be left alone anyway. I want to thank you guys for all you taught me. It was the best investment I have made. Ill keep in touch and you do the same.

Thanks Again, Bob (TX)

I just wanted to thank you guys, you have opened many doors and presented many opportunities to me. Hands on training and instruction are no strangers to really learn how to do it right. Acoustic Edge offers is a fun-filled yet extremely educational environment. I would recommend any installer, beginning or experienced.

Thanks,Michael Hatter (LA)

Hey Roger, I just wanted to say hi and thank you guys for all your help. I wish I was still there. I had so much fun when I was there. I was 8th in the region before I came to school and now Im second. I almost had 1st. Next month I will be first. They are letting do some custom displays in the store to help promote custom work as well. I was offered a transfer to Houston and Im thinking about doing it if the wife is OK with it. Ill keep in touch. Ive sent you some picture of a job I did here recently. Tell me what you think. Thanks again,

Patrick (CO)

Im going to finish the bax and amprack and when I do I will send you the pics on that as well. Tell Mark I said have and I will keep in touch. Send me some pictures of your latest Hummer.

Marcos B. Monterde As a member of the first graduating class of the Texas location I got to see first hand the skill and knowledge of the instructors. Not only where they teaching the courses, they where building and setting up the classroom, install bay and woodshop. Roger Hill always went out of his way to make sure you saw and understood everything he was doing at all times. He also went out of his way to show you different techniques and tricks to make things faster and easier. You go into the field with more experience and hands on training than most installers because of this. I also had the privilege of having Matt Pipkin as the MECP and electrical trainer, who did absolutely everything he could to insure you knew what you where doing and where prepared for the Basic Installer exam.

Speaking from experience with other shops and from starting my own, you get spoiled at the Acoustic Edge by working with the highest quality tools and equipment and especially the large woodshop. Coming from the Acoustic Edge I started working at a shop and went to school at Chattahoochee Technical Institute where I passed the Automotive Electrical Technician course with a 4.0. I worked at several shops and with the training I received at the Acoustic Edge I quickly got fedup with other shops and realized I wanted to do things better. In December of 2002 I started M.A.V.E.R.I.C Customs, and we have just moved into our first shop that is 2100sq. ft. and the wood shop is still not as big as the one at the Acoustic Edge. Continuing with education, because that is the only way you can keep up in this industry, I have completed the automotive HVAC technician course at Chattahoochee and am continuing and intend to graduate with a degree in automotive technology. I have continued with MECP by getting my Silver level installer certificate as well as Security Specialist and Mobile Product Specialist certifications. I have also received my ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification in automotive electrical and electronics repair (A6) and medium and heavy-duty truck electrical and electronics repair (T6). And as soon as possible I intend to take the Masters courses at the Acoustic Edge.
